Albert Hunt

Albert Hunt is a passionate performer and teacher. He performs in concerts on four continents and his students have won national and international competitions, earned principal clarinet positions in all-state ensembles more 20 times, and been selected as principal clarinet of prestigious area youth orchestras. He earned the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree (DMA) at The Juilliard School.

Private Instructor

As an active performer, Albert Hunt is in-touch with what it takes to develop and hone skills necessary for success. Dr. Hunt works with students of all ages and levels. He enjoys helping them develop their musical skills as they grow their understanding and love of music.  As a result, his students have earned Principal Clarinet positions in the Maryland All-State Bands and Orchestras 15 times, and are represented in the most prestigious Washington DC metropolitan youth orchestras. His students have been finalists and winners in numerous national and international competitions including: MTNA National Competitions; 

The International Clarinet Association High School Solo Competition; and the Marine, Army and Navy National High School Competitions. After high school, his students have continued to compete on a national level, earning positions in the highly competitive orchestras at MIT, Yale, Princeton and Duke Universities, among others.
